Cash Back Deals

There are so many cash back sites that it can make you dizzy just to decide which one to use when making a purchase. Not only that but an item can be a little more expensive at one store but if that store earns you a higher percentage of cash back then it may actually be better to spend your money there.

In this post I am going to list my favorite cash back places with some basic information. They also have complicated terms and conditions so please check that to gather more details.

Your Credit Card

Chances are your credit card already offers rewards for you to use your card for everything. Just sign into your account and find out the details. In some cases they want you to sign up separately for their rewards programs, in our cases it's already set up for you. I'm going to list 3 of my favorite credit card deals here.

  1. Discover Card. Offers 1%-5% cash back + other rewards for using their site to shop. In addition to that if you select to redeem your rewards with their partner's gift cards you can get more for your rewards. E.g. $45 JCPenney gift card for only $40 worth of rewards. And here is a green twist for you: Discover now offers a biogradable card!
  2. Amazon.com Rewards Visa® Card from Chase. Offers 1-3 points for every dollar you spend with it. Point may be redeemed for Amazon.com certificates, cash or even airline miles. You start out with $30 reward within 30 days of your first purchase!
  3. Upromise Credit Card. All purchases earn 1%-10% going towards your or your family's college education.

You may also get double rewards if you use your credit card offering cash back and if you click through your cash back site to the store. E.g. if I use my discover credit card to pay for my purchase on Walgreens.com going through Ebates.com I will earn 3% from Ebates.com and 1% from Discover card.

Green factor: biogradable Discover card. Swagbucks' green factor was discussed on a separate blog.

Deal factor: cash back for your purchases.
